
Elizabeth Cary is a freelance violinist and private instructor from
upstate NY. Violin has been her raison d'etre since she began her
studies at the age of 9. She received a Bachelors Degree of Music in
Violin Performance from Ithaca College in 2006. She studied violin
with Susan Waterbury and Linda Case.
Elizabeth has performed professionally with the Cayuga Chamber
Orchestra, the Southern Finger Lakes Orchestra, the Albert Consort,
and the Rochester Women's Philharmonic.
Though she is a classically trained violinist she is an extremely
versatile musician, playing Bluegrass, Rock, Folk, Celtic and
whatever crosses her path. She was a member of Ithaca's strangest
rock band, Igor’s Egg, has shared the stage with artists Project
Object, Moxy Fruvous, Eileen Ivers, and The Brew.
